ok. here's a thought. alot of people beleive that when Christ returns, we will all be taken up into heaven and live happily ever after...but what if that's not God's plan. what if His plan is to have a global "persecuted church". not just in those third world countries like india and china. but in america. which means we all would be physically (NOT emotionally or verbally) persecuted. are we ready for that? are we ready to feel physical pain for Christ?! i we ready to have a fingernails wripped off, our hair sliced of our head, teeth punched and pulled out, starvation...??? the list of torture gets worse and more painfull. are we prepared for what might possibly lie ahead of us?

Hebrews 10:32
Remember those early days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. you sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew yourselves had better and lasting possessions. so do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. you need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.

that was the verse that inspired that thought. what do you think?
