We know that [trials] are good for us--they help us learn to endure.

I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as LORD.

I Met My Master

I had walked life's path with an easy tread, Had followed where comfort and pleasure led; And then by chance in a quiet place
I met my Master face to face.

With station and rank and wealth for goal, Much thought for body but none for soul, I had entered to win this life's mad race-When I met my Master face to face.

I had built my castles, reared them high, Till their towers had pierced the blue of the sky; I had sworn to rule with an iron mace
When I met my Master face to face.

I met Him and knew Him, and blushed to see
That His eyes full of sorrow were fixed on me; And I faltered, and fell at His feet that day
While my castles vanished and melted away.

Melted and vanished; and in their placeI saw naught else but my Master's face; And I cried aloud: "Oh, make me meet
To follow the marks of Thy wounded feet."

My thought is now for the souls of men; I have lost my life to find it againEver since alone in that holy placeMy Master and I stood face to face.

this joke is halarious! :)

Blind Pilots
Two men dressed in pilots' uniforms walk up the aisle. Both are wearing dark glasses, one is using a guide dog,and the other is tapping his way along the aisle with a cane. Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin, but the men enter the cockpit, the door closes, and the engines startup. The passengers begin glancing nervously around, searching for some sign that this is just a little practical joke.but none is forthcoming. The plane moves faster and faster down the runway and the people sitting in the window seats realize they're headed straight for the water at the end of the runway. As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water, panicked screams fill the cabin. At that moment, the plane lifts smoothly into the air.The passengers relax and laugh a little sheepishly, and soon all retreat into their magazines, secure in the knowledge ! that the plane is in good hands. In the cockpit, one of the blind pilots turns to the other and says, "You know, John, one of these days, they're gonna scream too late and we're all gonna die."

The Holy Alphabet by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory....where none are ever sad!

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!" The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

pretty awesome. :)

Leonardo da vinci's drawing the womb.

Leonardo da vinci's drawing of the human skull.

I like leonardo's scientific art. it's awesome. the story behind his drawing of the womb...a pregnant woman drowned and het body was brought to him where he disected her womb to see what it looked like inside. kindof grousome. and i'm not to sure about the skull picture...but the one of the "thing" eating a woman...well. i'll let you think about that. :)

Diner Finds Piece of Finger in Burger
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - A diner found a piece of human flesh on his hamburger shortly after a restaurant worker accidentally cut his finger, and a spokeswoman said the company was ``very, very sorry.''
A kitchen manager at the TGI Friday's at College Mall injured himself Tuesday and no one immediately realized he had lost part of his finger while others rushed to help him, said Amy Freshwater, a spokeswoman for the chain.
``The manager didn't even know it happened until he got to the hospital,'' she said.
Another staff member served the plate to a customer, who immediately spotted the piece of flesh.
The manager was treated at Bloomington Hospital and lost only a small piece of his finger, according to Freshwater.
``We absolutely acknowledge the seriousness of this incident, and we are very, very sorry that this occurred,'' she said.
The restaurant has been in contact with the customer, Freshwater said.
The diner called police, but an officer told him that it was not a criminal matter, Detective Sgt. David Drake said.
yesterday was good. went to church. listened to brent preach. got totally embarrases because i had to stand in front of the church AGAIN! and then we (the jr.highers) went to the Hambletons and had a BARbeCue! had some good food, some fun games, got to hang out with some of the girls...and i've been noticing that one of the girls that usually doesn't give a ripp about anything was actually trying to step out of her "everythings stupid" zone and she actually tried to have fun! she was LAUGHING!!!! :) it was good to see. and i got alot of excericise by playing football. then went to highschool youth group. watched the worship team get ready. then went and played bump with all the highschoolers. then worshiped!!!! that was the highlight of my day. i actually got to worship God...on a sunday night....WITHOUT getting interrupted by the jr.high kids. wow. that was nice. :) aahhh....anyways. then i talked to david jon and ben for a bit.....then went HOME and BED!!!!! :) GOOD DAY i say!!!

spiritually, the Lord has been working over time in me. the other night i opened my Bible and i decided that before i read anything, that I would pray and ask God to show me something new about Himself. and i did...and He came through and showed me something new about Him. it was awesome. let me share with you. i opened to the book of John and read the part where Jesus feeds the five thousand. and normally...when i come to this part of the Bible...i say to myself "hey...what is new in this part of the story of Christ. He feeds 5000 people food. it's like an annoying repetative story. i already know what's going to happen!" but this time it was different, because i was expecting that God was going to share with me something completely new!!! so i read it. and this is what i read.

(JN 6:1) After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is `the sea' of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they beheld the signs which he did on them that were sick. And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. Now the passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, Two hundred shillings' worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what are these among so many? Jesus said, Make the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Jesus therefore took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down; likewise also of the fishes as much as they would. And when they were filled, he saith unto his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which remain over, that nothing be lost. So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which remained over unto them that had eaten. When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, This is of a truth the prophet that cometh into the world.(15) Jesus therefore perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain himself alone.

and reading this the Lord showed me a few things.

1)Jesus was compassionate...enough to think ahead on where He was going to lead these people. a nice grassy place large enough to hold ALL the people.

2)Jesus was challenging. He constantly put His deciples to the test.

3)He was humble. the jews wanted to make Him king. (and anyone in there right mind would want to be king.) but He went away from them.

so...that's what was given to me. i was just so excited about it, that i had to write about it.
