ok..it's time for some serious "venting"...joy feel free to join in.
i realize this won't help me now that camp is over...but i know it will feel as good as crying and screaming about it.
one of the greatest things i hate is disrespect for an elder. me and joy were placed in leadership positions and it was shredded before our eyes. every camper under our "control" was disrespectful in some way...(discounting two...i suppose.) it was disheartening and angering and exauhsting. it almost makes me want to throw away any thoughts of working with tghese kids ever again! it makes me want to throw myself on the ground and give up! i just wanted to give up this week. i had nothing to look forward to. there was no goal, besides glorifying God, and that wasn't happening with the way my additude was going. my anger flared up on many occasions, most of the time to the point of tears or physical torture! i almost at one point knocked tami abernathy out with a flashlight! (true story!) i began to dred waking up in the morning. i was constantly fatigued which made my anger worse. all in all...it was a horrid week. well, when i consider all the times i got upset...which was EVERY night! but i'm sure God did work some good into the week. i confronted!!! that was the bigest thing i was worried about, and i followed through. it was awesome. i almost smacked the two kids because they weren't going to listen to me...but i followed through. :)
YAY!!!
let me tell you what happened...
me and joy were standing near the food area at like 10 at night. and behind us were this guy and girl. they were like in each others laps! so i bend over and whisper to joy..."hey...there's some serious PDA going on behind us", but it didn't look like joy was about to do something. well, she asked if they were counselors...which they were silent...so i said..."hey you guys need to seperate..."
they didn't budge
so i step forward and stood inches from there faces and said..." you can either separate now or i can sit between you guys...!!!" that was where i almost smacked them because it took them like a whole 30 seconds to begin to budge...the whole time i stood there staring. Hhahaha! it was pretty exciting. better yet, they probably didn't know who i was because it was dark!
anyways.
my venting is done.
i feel better. I know God did some amazing things this week.
Prayer is a place where we can "Adapt" ourselves to God, a place where our needs aren't our main concern, but the glorification of our Lord.

Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:10-12
If I ever get Married, that will be my goal in life. Along with everything else that Proverbs says about Wives.

Tomorrow I leave again for another week of Camp. I was wondering if you all could pray for me and joy while we're gone. Especially pray for our interaction with Kathrine. She's a very challenging girl. Also pray for safety. AND.....wisdom on our part when we have discussions with the girls in our tent. That'd be awesome. I'd really appreciate the prayer support.
Anyways...
I just woke up and i feel refreshed.

After home group tonight, in my Stupored state, I created this work of art. This song has been going through my mind ever since worship at camp, when we sang it. Speaking of worship. The girls in my cabin are convinced that me and the "Worship guy shoe" were made for each other. Beleive nothing they say, no matter how convincing it may sound.Well, while on the subject of camp. it was Good. God really worked in me. showed me some things about myself. I am definetely not made of "Confrontational material." although there were a few moments where i almost told some kids to "stop", but i chikened out. (stupid, stupid stupid....) anyways. it's definetely something i need to work on. Maybe i'll work on it during Highschool camp. Kathrine will definetely need some Confrontations...I'm sure.
well...my bodies crying for my bed and soft pillow. It;'s yearning. But stupidly enough i drank a cup of cofee and a ton of sugar at the dodrills, so i'm sure if i even try to go to bed it won't happen. So i'll just keep typing until my body collapses.
The speaker at camp was really awesome. He was a younger guy with like a 2 year old baby girl and a really sweet wife. He spoke on Daniel. and how we needed to trust God. But more importantly he tied that into how alot of people step into a relationship with God thinking He will make there lifes a Cake walk. But in all reality, Your life really doesn't get better, Like daniel and his friends. They were kidnapped, and once they followed Gods commands on food regulations,it all got worse...(granted they did become head of alot of stuff, but that led to the fiery furnace and the lions den.)
but he said some really awesome stories that got the kid's attention. he was awesome. i'm glad i was there. i learned alot to.
anyways.
i missed everyone.
bed....
bed....
goodnight.
PS. here are some pictures of my girls and the camp!
