i've been reading in Hebrews lately, and lo and behold, the Lord has left me to fend for myself in this book. i've actually been understanding alot of what i've been reading...

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

for those of you who apply...you remember scuba diving? "Purging"!!!?
i don't know how i can apply it to this verse, but the verse it self is awesome because it's talking about Jesus!

Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

i like how Hebrews starts out. it's focused on Christ, telling us how Christ was and always will be Higher than the angels!

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

ok! one quick question that i alone cannot answer. in the book of Mark, can"t think of the chapeter, Jesus is standing on the shore of the lake watching the disciples in the boat struggling through the storm. He then walks out on the water towards them but when He gets to them, He was just going to walk past them. but they saw Him and starting calling out and freaking out. now my question is...Why was Jesus going to just walk past?

if you could answer that, thatd be awesome!

hey...i've been thinking of my brother alot. he comes home in august sometime...and he'll come home for a week and then spend another year in Texas. here's a picture of him. he the one one the far left...standing up.

The Night of Doubt--the Morning of Faith. It is indeed a memorable moment in the history of the human spirit, when we suddenly wake up to see that the Almighty is the All-Loving Father, that the righteousness of God is no longer a ground of anxiety and fear, but of assured hope; that He has no pleasure in the death of a sinner, but rather that he should turn from his wickedness and live. What a glad hour it was to Thomas when, after a week of the blackness of darkness, he stood again face to face with Jesus, and learnt that His heart was beating in sympathy, and that His pierced hands were held out to him. Dare to believe that the Love which died for thee is dealing with all the mysteries, misfits, and dark problems of thy life. Weeping may tarry for the night in which you shut yourself in with yourself, but she is only a lodger! Joy will come in the morning, when you open your heart to Christ.

Blessed Christ! The storm is high, the night is dark. Come to me, I beseech Thee. In Thy presence is fulness of Joy. AMEN.
